Amazon Review Monitor

A free Chrome extension that watches the reviews on your own Amazon products. You get a notification when a new review comes in, when a review disappears and when a removed review comes back. No login, no Seller Central access.

Free extension

  • New review, removed review, review back, star rating changes
  • 15 Amazon stores, any number of products
  • Runs in your own browser, nothing to sign up for

The Chrome Web Store listing is in review. It goes live here within days.

Want the alert in your inbox instead of a desktop pop-up? Seller Monitor Pro adds email alerts, a daily Listing Watch and the FBA Price Advisor for $29/mo.

How it works

  1. Install the extension and paste the link (or ASIN) of each product you sell.
  2. The first check saves the current reviews as a baseline. It never alerts on reviews that were already there.
  3. A few times a day it reads the newest reviews again and compares them with the baseline.
  4. Every difference becomes a notification: a new review with its stars and title, a review that is gone, a review that came back, or a changed rating count.

Why sellers track removed reviews

Your star rating and review count drive click-through and conversion. When Amazon removes a batch of reviews, the listing can drop from 4.5 to 4.2 stars overnight and nothing in Seller Central tells you why.

  • A sudden wave of removals often follows a reviewer account closure. You want the exact reviews before you open a case.
  • A new 1 or 2 star review is worth answering the same day, through a public comment or by fixing the issue it names.
  • A review that comes back usually means an appeal or a moderation check went your way.

What to do when reviews disappear

  1. Check whether the review broke a rule: an incentive, a family link, a review about shipping rather than the product.
  2. Look at the timing. Several reviews gone on one day points at Amazon, one review gone points at the buyer.
  3. If you believe Amazon removed a genuine review, open a Seller Support case with the review title and date from the alert.
  4. Run a free listing audit to make sure the listing itself is not what drives the low ratings.

Questions sellers ask

How do I get notified of new Amazon reviews?

Install the free Review Monitor extension, paste the link of each product you sell and leave Chrome open. It checks the review pages a few times a day and shows a desktop notification for every new review. With Seller Monitor Pro you also get the alert by email.

Why did a review disappear from my Amazon listing?

Amazon removes reviews it links to incentives, family or friends, review swaps or a reviewer account it closed. A buyer can also delete their own review. The extension tells you the day a review goes missing, so you can tell a one-off from a pattern and contact Seller Support with the exact review.

Does the extension need my Seller Central login?

No. It reads the public review pages of the products you add, in your own browser. It never sees your Seller Central account, your orders or your buyers.

Which Amazon stores does it support?

amazon.com, .ca, .com.mx, .com.br, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .es, .it, .nl, .pl, .se, .com.au, .co.jp and .in. Paste the product link from the store you sell in.

Why only the newest 100 reviews?

Amazon shows a maximum of 100 reviews per sort order. For products with more, the extension follows the newest 100, which is where new and removed reviews show up first.

Is the review monitor free?

Yes. The extension and its desktop notifications are free. Email alerts are part of Seller Monitor Pro ($29/mo), together with Listing Watch and the FBA Price Advisor.
