Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about listing audits, suppression, and our tool.

What is a suppressed Amazon listing?

A suppressed listing is hidden from Amazon search results because it violates one of Amazon's listing requirements — most commonly due to a non-compliant main image, a price that Amazon flags as too high, or a missing required attribute for the category. Suppressed listings cannot be found or purchased by customers.

How do I find suppressed listings in Seller Central?

Go to Inventory > Manage All Inventory in Seller Central. On the left sidebar, click "Suppressed." Amazon shows you all suppressed ASINs with the reason for suppression. You can also go to Inventory > Fix Suppressed Listings from the main Inventory menu.

How long does it take to unsuppress a listing?

After fixing the issue in Seller Central, most listings reactivate within 4-24 hours. Image compliance fixes are usually faster (4-6 hours). For policy violation appeals, resolution typically takes 3-7 business days.

What causes Amazon to suppress a listing?

The most common causes are: non-compliant main image (wrong background, too small, shows text/logos), missing price, price flagged as too high compared to other markets, missing required attributes for the category, prohibited content in the title or description, and intellectual property violations.

Does the tool actually access my Amazon account?

No. The audit tool performs a diagnostic check based on the ASIN you enter and checks publicly visible listing elements plus known compliance criteria. It does not require Seller Central credentials.

How often does Pro monitoring run audits?

Pro monitoring runs daily audits on all your tracked ASINs. If a listing becomes suppressed or loses the Buy Box overnight, you receive an email alert the same morning.

Can I audit competitor listings?

Yes. The audit tool works on any public Amazon ASIN. This can be useful for competitive research — see what issues your competitors have that you can avoid, or identify opportunities where competitors have weak listings.

What is an IPI score and why does it matter?

The Inventory Performance Index (IPI) measures how efficiently you manage FBA inventory. Scores below 400 result in Amazon imposing storage limitations. A low IPI is caused by excess inventory, stranded inventory, and poor sell-through rates. The audit tool flags IPI-related risks.

What is the difference between a suppressed and a deactivated listing?

Suppressed listings fail Amazon's quality or compliance checks and are automatically hidden. Deactivated listings are manually deactivated by Amazon (usually for policy violations) or by the seller. Suppressed listings can often be fixed immediately; deactivated listings usually require a formal appeal.

How do I fix a price suppression?

Go to Manage Pricing in Seller Central and check for a price flag on the affected ASIN. Lower your price to be competitive with the reference price Amazon shows. Also check whether the product is listed at a lower price on other platforms (Walmart, eBay) — Amazon compares prices across marketplaces.

What is stranded inventory?

Stranded inventory is FBA stock sitting in Amazon's fulfillment centers with no active listing. Amazon cannot sell it, but you still pay storage fees. Fix it by going to Inventory > Fix Stranded Inventory and either relisting or creating a removal order.

Does the agency plan support multiple seller accounts?

Yes. The Agency plan supports up to 10 separate seller account connections, team seats for 3 users, and white-label PDF reports you can share with clients.
