Price, unit cost and FBA fee set your break-even ACOS (15% referral fee assumed). Leave them empty to skip that check.

What the analyzer checks

  • Negatives: search terms that took clicks and money without a single order, as negative exact or negative ASIN.
  • Bids: a max bid per keyword or target based on what each click actually earns, with a raise, lower or keep call against your current bid.
  • Pause: campaigns and targets that spent a lot with no sales, or that run far above your break-even ACOS.
  • Harvest: search terms from auto, broad and phrase campaigns that already sell, ready to add as exact keywords.
  • Low-intent phrases: words like free, used and how to that bring clicks from people who are not about to buy.

How to export your reports

  1. Open the Amazon Ads console and go to Measurement and Reporting, then Sponsored ads reports.
  2. Create a report: Sponsored Products, report type Search term (then again for Targeting).
  3. Pick the last 30 or 60 days, Summary time unit, and CSV as the file format.
  4. Download both files and drop them into the analyzer above.

Ads only work when the listing converts. If a product gets clicks but no orders, run a free listing audit on that ASIN first, and check your fees and margin with the Price Advisor.

Questions sellers ask

Which Amazon Ads reports does the analyzer need?

The Sponsored Products search term report gives you negatives and harvest keywords. The targeting report gives you bid changes. The campaign report is enough for a spend summary and pause candidates. In the Amazon Ads console go to Measurement and Reporting, Sponsored ads reports, pick the report type, choose the last 30 or 60 days and download it as CSV.

Is my ad data uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and analysed inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to our server and nothing is stored. Close the tab and it is gone.

How does it decide a search term is wasted spend?

A search term becomes a negative when it has at least 8 clicks, zero orders, and has already cost more than the profit you make on one unit (or 5 in your currency if you skip the margin fields). Terms that read as research, free, second hand or repair intent are labelled so you can see why they did not buy.

How are the recommended bids calculated?

Recommended bid = sales per click x your target ACOS, capped at the max bid you set. With 30 or more clicks the bid gets the full cap, with 10 to 29 clicks it gets two thirds of the cap, and under 10 clicks it stays at a starter bid because there is not enough data yet. If your target ACOS is above your break-even ACOS, the tool lowers it to 90% of break-even so you do not buy unprofitable sales.

What is break-even ACOS for an Amazon seller?

Break-even ACOS is your profit per unit before advertising divided by the sale price. If you sell at 30, pay 8 for the product, 5.50 in FBA fees and 4.50 referral fee (15%), you keep 12, so break-even ACOS is 40%. Any keyword running above 40% ACOS loses money on every sale.

Can it apply the changes to my campaigns automatically?

This free version gives you CSV files to upload through bulk operations or apply by hand. The PPC Autopilot connects to your Amazon Ads account through Amazon's official API and applies the same rules for you every day, with your approval first.
