Amazon A+ Content Guide 2026: How to Create High-Converting Enhanced Listings
Complete Amazon A+ Content guide for 2026: module types, best practices for layout and copy, what actually improves conversion, and how to access Premium A+ Content.
What A+ Content Is
A+ Content (formerly Enhanced Brand Content for sellers, A+ for vendors) replaces the standard product description on your Amazon listing with a rich-media layout. Instead of a plain text description that most customers never read, you get image modules, comparison charts, text-with-header blocks, and brand story sections. A+ Content is available to Brand Registry members at no additional cost. It appears below the bullet points and above customer reviews on the product detail page.
Module Types
Amazon offers a variety of modules you can combine to build your A+ layout (maximum 7 modules per listing in standard A+). Key module types: Standard Image & Dark Text Overlay: full-width image with text overlay -- good for hero shots with a key benefit. Standard Single Image & Highlights: image on one side, bullet list on the other -- works well for feature callouts. Standard Product Description Text: text-only block for detailed explanation. Standard Multiple Image Module A/B/C: side-by-side images for comparison or step-by-step illustration. Standard Four Image & Text: grid of four images each with short text. Brand Logo & Description: brand story section. Comparison Chart: multi-product comparison table -- available only if you have multiple ASINs to compare. The comparison chart is consistently one of the highest-performing modules for conversion, especially in competitive categories.
What Actually Improves Conversion
Amazon's own data suggests A+ Content increases conversion rates by 3-10% on average vs. listings without it. What the best-performing A+ Content does: leads with the primary customer benefit in the first module (not the brand story), uses high-quality lifestyle images that show the product in use rather than product-on-white-background, includes a size/dimensions graphic for any product where fit or scale matters, addresses the top 2-3 objections or concerns a typical buyer has (cross-reference your customer Q&A and negative reviews for these), and ends with a comparison chart if you have related products. What underperforms: generic brand hero images, text-heavy modules with long paragraphs, and A+ that simply repeats the bullet points in different words.
Premium A+ Content
Premium A+ Content (larger modules, interactive carousels, video in modules, hotspot images) is available to sellers who have published at least 15 A+ Content projects across their catalog and whose account is in good standing. Premium A+ modules are larger and more visually impactful than standard modules. Amazon has reported Premium A+ drives 20% higher conversion than standard A+ on comparable listings. To check eligibility: in Seller Central, go to A+ Content Manager and look for a 'Premium' badge option when starting a new project.
Process and Timeline
Creating A+: from Seller Central > Advertising > A+ Content Manager. Build the layout with the module editor, apply it to one or more ASINs, and submit for review. Amazon's review takes 7 business days (often faster). Once approved, the content goes live within 24 hours. A+ Content can be edited after publishing -- changes go through the same review process. If a module is rejected, Amazon specifies which module and the reason (most commonly: text in image violates guidelines, or claim is unsubstantiated).
