Suppression: Review Manipulation Suspicion

Amazon has flagged your listing for suspected review manipulation — soliciting reviews with incentives, using third-party review services, or having reviews that violate Amazon's community guidelines. This can trigger listing removal and account-level enforcement.

How to detect this suppression

Account Health > Policy Compliance shows review manipulation flags. Listings affected may be deactivated with reason "Review manipulation." In severe cases, all reviews on the ASIN may be removed.

Fix steps

  1. 1Audit all review acquisition activities: ensure you are only using Amazon's Request a Review button or approved follow-up emails (no incentive language)
  2. 2If you have used a third-party review service that violated Amazon policy: document that you have terminated the relationship
  3. 3Remove any email templates or inserts that ask for only positive reviews, ask buyers to change their review, or offer any incentive for a review
  4. 4Prepare a POA explaining what happened, what you changed, and how you will prevent recurrence
  5. 5Submit through Account Health

Appeal process

Formal POA submission required through Account Health. Amazon reviews these carefully and rejection is common on first attempt. A strong POA addresses root cause, corrective action, and prevention explicitly.

Expected resolution time: 7-21 days
