Suppression: Prohibited Image Content

One or more listing images contain content that Amazon prohibits: text overlays, promotional badges, watermarks, borders, environmental props in the main image slot, or content that makes misleading claims.

How to detect this suppression

Found in Manage All Inventory > Suppressed. The reason may state "Image does not meet requirements" with a sub-reason related to image content. Account Health notifications may also reference this.

Fix steps

  1. 1Review all images on the listing to identify what content is prohibited
  2. 2For the main image: remove all text overlays, badges ("Best Seller," "Sale"), watermarks, and any props not included in the purchase
  3. 3For supplemental images: remove any overlay claims that could be considered health or safety claims without documentation
  4. 4Re-upload all corrected images via Edit Listing > Images
  5. 5Allow 4-24 hours for Amazon to process the new images

Appeal process

Replace the prohibited images with compliant alternatives. If the suppression does not clear after 24 hours of uploading compliant images, open a Seller Support case with a description of the changes made.

Expected resolution time: 4-48 hours
