Suppression: Missing Main Image
Amazon requires every active listing to have a main product image. Without one, the listing is automatically suppressed and hidden from all search results and Browse pages.
How to detect this suppression
Go to Seller Central > Manage All Inventory > filter by "Suppressed" on the left panel. Amazon will show the suppression reason as "Missing Image" or "Image does not meet requirements." You can also check the listing quality dashboard.
Fix steps
- 1Go to Edit Listing > Images tab
- 2Upload a high-resolution JPEG or PNG (at least 1000px on the longest side, ideally 2000px)
- 3Ensure the image shows only the product on a pure white background (RGB 255,255,255)
- 4Product must fill at least 85% of the image frame
- 5Remove any text, watermarks, or promotional badges from the image
- 6Save and allow 4-6 hours for the listing to reactivate
Appeal process
No formal appeal is needed. Uploading a compliant image resolves the suppression automatically once Amazon processes the new image (typically within 4-24 hours).
Expected resolution time: 4-24 hours
