Suppression: Incomplete Listing (Missing Required Attributes)
Amazon suppresses listings that are missing required attributes for their category. Required attributes vary by category but commonly include size, color, material, target audience, and safety certifications.
How to detect this suppression
In Manage All Inventory, filter by Suppressed. The suppression reason will show "Incomplete" or list specific missing attributes. Go to Edit Listing and look for required fields marked with a red asterisk that are empty.
Fix steps
- 1Go to Edit Listing and work through every tab: Product Info, Variations, Offer, Compliance, Images, Description, Keywords, More Details
- 2Fill in every field marked as required (red asterisk)
- 3Pay particular attention to attributes specific to your category — Electronics (voltage, wattage), Apparel (size, material, care instructions), Grocery (ingredients, allergen info)
- 4Save after completing each tab
- 5Allow 4-24 hours for the suppression to clear after filling all required attributes
Appeal process
Completing all required attributes resolves the suppression automatically. If attributes appear to be filled but the suppression persists, open a Seller Support case with a screenshot showing the completed attributes.
