Amazon has flagged your product as a potential dangerous good (hazmat) and is waiting for you to provide documentation confirming its hazmat classification before allowing FBA storage and fulfillment.
How to detect this suppression
In Manage FBA Inventory, look for listings with a "Dangerous Goods" status of "Under Review" or "Hazmat Review Required." FBA shipments for these ASINs will be placed on hold.
Fix steps
- 1Download the Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) for your product from the manufacturer
- 2Go to Manage Dangerous Goods > Submit Compliance Documents
- 3Upload the SDS and any other required documents (battery exemption forms, UN38.3 test summaries for lithium batteries)
- 4For products that are NOT hazmat: submit an exemption document or SDS confirming no hazardous materials are present
- 5Amazon reviews submissions within 3-5 business days
Appeal process
No formal appeal needed — submit the correct documentation through the Dangerous Goods review process. If documentation is rejected, address the specific reason given and resubmit.
