Amazon Listing Health Check: How to Audit Your Listing in 15 Minutes
A fast 15-minute process to check the health of any Amazon listing across compliance, content, and performance.
A listing health check covers three areas: compliance (is the listing active and meeting Amazon requirements), content quality (is the content optimized for search and conversion), and performance (are the metrics healthy). 15-minute process: step 1 (2 minutes) -- go to Manage All Inventory and check for any suppression flags, warnings, or quality score below 70 for the ASIN. If suppressed, identify the suppression reason. If quality score is low, click into the Listing Quality Dashboard for the specific ASIN to see what Amazon flags. Step 2 (3 minutes) -- go to Account Health and check for any policy violations related to the ASIN. Check Performance metrics (ODR, LSR) to see if any are approaching warning thresholds. Step 3 (5 minutes) -- open the live listing on Amazon (not in Seller Central). Check: does the main image look clean on a white background? Does the title read naturally with the primary keyword prominent? Are all 5 bullet points showing? Does the listing have A+ Content? How many reviews and what average rating? Are there obvious quality complaints in the reviews that indicate a listing accuracy or product issue? Step 4 (3 minutes) -- go to Business Reports > Detail Page Sales and Traffic and pull the unit session percentage (conversion rate) for the ASIN over the last 30 days. If below 8%, note it as a priority improvement. Check the Sessions count to ensure traffic is coming in. Step 5 (2 minutes) -- check if the ASIN has the Buy Box. If not, identify the competitor winning it and compare prices and fulfillment method.
