Amazon has specific technical and content requirements for all product images. Technical specifications: JPEG format preferred (PNG, GIF, and TIFF are also accepted); minimum 1000 pixels on the longest side; 1600 pixels recommended to enable zoom functionality; 2000 pixels optimal for best zoom; maximum file size 10MB; sRGB or CMYK color space (sRGB preferred). Main image rules: pure white background (RGB 255,255,255 — Amazon's systems detect off-white and grey); product must fill 85%+ of the image frame; no text, watermarks, or logos overlaid on the image; no hands, props, or environmental context — product only; no accessories not included in the purchase. Supplemental image rules (slots 2-9): lifestyle backgrounds permitted; infographic overlays with text are permitted (cannot make drug/health claims); size reference objects (common items showing scale) are encouraged. Images that cause suppression: backgrounds that are detected as non-white; products that do not fill the required 85% frame; blurry or low-resolution images that fail Amazon's quality check; and promotional text or badges on the main image.
