Amazon IPI Dashboard Guide: How to Read and Use It

A walkthrough of the Amazon Inventory Performance Index dashboard in Seller Central — where to find it and how to interpret each metric.

The Amazon IPI dashboard is located in Seller Central under Inventory > Inventory Performance. The main dashboard shows your current IPI score prominently at the top, along with a historical score trend graph. Below the score, Amazon breaks down your performance across the four contributing factors: excess inventory percentage, sell-through rate, stranded inventory percentage, and in-stock rate. Each factor shows a current value, a target range Amazon considers "good," and a colored indicator (green/yellow/red) showing your current status. Clicking on any factor takes you to an ASIN-level breakdown showing which specific products are contributing most to that factor's underperformance. The most actionable part of the dashboard is the "Recommended Actions" section, which lists specific ASINs Amazon recommends you take action on, with suggested actions (liquidate, remove, reduce reorder, run a deal) for each. These recommendations are directly derived from what would most improve your score. The historical trend graph is useful for understanding whether your IPI is improving or declining week-over-week and correlating changes to specific actions you took.
