How to Fix: Missing Description

Why this happens

The product description field is empty or contains only a few lines of text. Many sellers skip the description entirely when they have A+ Content, but this is a mistake — plain text descriptions help with keyword indexing for non-brand-registered listings.

Step-by-step fix

  1. 1Go to Edit Listing > Description tab
  2. 2Write a 500-2000 character product description that covers: what the product is, who it is for, key benefits, how to use it, and what is included
  3. 3Incorporate 2-3 secondary keywords naturally into the description
  4. 4Do not use HTML tags in the description field — they display as raw code on the listing
  5. 5If brand-registered, publish A+ Content through Brand Registry > A+ Content Manager instead of (or in addition to) the text description
