How to Fix: Low Listing Quality Score

Why this happens

Amazon's Listing Quality Dashboard shows your ASIN with a low quality score (below 60). This is typically caused by missing required attributes, insufficient images, or incomplete description content.

Step-by-step fix

  1. 1Go to Seller Central > Inventory > Manage All Inventory > Listing Quality column
  2. 2Click on the quality score for the affected ASIN to see specific recommendations
  3. 3Work through each recommended improvement in priority order: start with image gaps (add missing image types), then attribute gaps (fill in all required and recommended fields in More Details), then content gaps (improve description length and A+ Content)
  4. 4Pay special attention to the attributes tab in Edit Listing — category-specific attributes are often the root cause of low scores
  5. 5After making all recommended changes, allow 24-48 hours for the score to update

Prevention tips

  • Run a listing quality check immediately after creating any new listing
  • Review Listing Quality Dashboard monthly and address any score decreases
  • When Amazon adds new required attributes to a category, all existing listings in that category may see score drops — monitor this after any Amazon catalog update announcement
Typical fix time: 2-4 hours
