How to Fix: Wrong Product Dimensions

Why this happens

Listed dimensions do not match the actual product dimensions. This affects fee calculations, filter visibility (buyers searching by size), and causes returns when the product is not the size expected.

Step-by-step fix

  1. 1Measure the product accurately (length x width x height) including packaging for FBA shipments
  2. 2Update Item Dimensions and Package Dimensions in Edit Listing > More Details
  3. 3Check whether the corrected dimensions change your FBA size tier and fees
  4. 4For products where size is a key decision factor (storage organizers, rugs, furniture), verify that measurements in title and bullets also match the corrected dimensions
  5. 5If Amazon's measured dimensions differ from yours in FBA, request a measurement dispute through Seller Support with a photograph showing a tape measure against the product

  • Measure all six dimensions (product and packaged) before creating a listing
  • For variation families, measure each size variant individually — do not estimate from the base size
