Amazon Price Suppression: What It Is and How to Fix It
Why Amazon suppresses listings for pricing reasons and how to set a price that reactivates your Buy Box.
Price suppression happens when Amazon determines your price is too high relative to historical prices, competitor prices on other marketplaces, or Amazon's own price history for the ASIN. When price-suppressed, your listing shows "Currently unavailable" and loses the Buy Box. To fix: check Manage Pricing in Seller Central for a price flag on the ASIN. Lower your price to be competitive. Check if the same product sells on Walmart, eBay, or your own website at a lower price — Amazon compares across channels. If you have a MAP agreement with a supplier, the suppression may indicate a competitor is violating MAP and Amazon is using their lower price as reference. Contact your supplier about MAP enforcement.
