ASIN Merge Error

Amazon has merged your product's ASIN with another product in the catalog, causing incorrect product information, wrong images, or wrong review data to appear on your listing.

Why this happens

Amazon's automated catalog matching system identified your product as a duplicate of another ASIN and merged them. This can also happen when a flat file upload matches to an existing ASIN incorrectly.

How to fix it

Open a Seller Support case requesting an ASIN split or catalog correction. Provide clear evidence that the two products are different: product images, packaging photos, dimension comparison, and any manufacturer documentation showing they are distinct products. Reference both ASINs in the case.

How to prevent it

When creating new listings, always search thoroughly for existing ASINs before creating new ones. Use UPC/EAN barcodes that are GS1-registered to your brand to prevent catalog system confusion.

Typical resolution time: 3-14 days
